West Boynton Ranches Partners with Veteran-Owned Farm to Expand Organic Agriculture

We’re proud to announce the ongoing transformation of West Boynton Ranches into a hub for natural, organic farming, through a new partnership with a local veteran-owned farming operation. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to sustainability, community health, and supporting those who’ve served our country.

The veteran-owned farm will be expanding its current operations on our property to provide locally grown and raised organic produce, honey, eggs, poultry, lamb, and fish. This initiative not only enhances food security in our region but also strengthens our mission to support regenerative agriculture and responsible land stewardship.

By transitioning to organic practices and building partnerships with local farmers, West Boynton Ranches is investing in a future where the community has greater access to fresh, healthy, and ethically produced food—all while supporting small business and veteran entrepreneurship.

We look forward to sharing more about this exciting journey as our fields and pastures grow with purpose and pride.

New Dock Completed at West Boynton Ranches Aquaculture Facility

We’re pleased to announce the successful completion of our new dock at the West Boynton Ranches aquaculture site. This key infrastructure project was designed to support and streamline operations, improve access to our fish farming facility, and enhance the overall efficiency of our aquaculture program.

The dock will play an essential role in future harvests, maintenance, and water quality monitoring. It represents another important step in our long-term commitment to building a sustainable, innovative, and well-supported agricultural operation right here in West Boynton Beach.

We’re grateful for the collaboration of our team, contractors, and regulatory partners who helped bring this project to life. With our dock now fully operational, we’re better equipped than ever to expand our aquaculture efforts and continue producing high-quality, responsibly raised fish for the community.

West Boynton Ranches Achieves Successful Aquaculture Harvest

We’re excited to share a major milestone from our aquaculture operations at West Boynton Ranches. At the end of 2023, our team completed a successful harvest, yielding over 1,000 pounds of sustainably raised open range fish. This marks a significant step forward in our mission to integrate innovative, environmentally responsible agriculture within our community.

The harvest reflects the dedication of our partners, as well as our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in sustainable food production. With our State Aquaculture Certification in good standing and a strong working relationship with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), we continue to meet and exceed compliance requirements while contributing to local food resilience.

As we look to the future, we’re focused on expanding our aquaculture and organic farming capabilities throughout 2024. Thank you to our community and partners for your continued support of our efforts to grow responsibly and give back to the land we steward.

Property Update as of May 2021

West Boynton Ranches has been working hard in 2021 to bring our agricultural conservation and residential properties into county compliance. In a short period of time, we’ve made great progress.

Over the last few months, our fishpond has been stocked with Tilapia and Channel Catfish in preparation of our first harvest this fall. In addition, assuming the county officials will permit it, West Boynton Ranches plans further improvements to the aquaculture facility based on input from our aquaculture consultants.

We’ve also complied by removing the pilings that had been installed for a dock, even though the dock is necessary for the agricultural fishpond.

Further to the Magistrate’s rulings, West Boynton Ranches has honed its aquaculture operations in accordance with Best Management Practices. The fishpond has been stocked with Tilapia and Channel Catfish in preparation of our first harvest this fall. In addition, assuming the County will permit it, West Boynton Ranches plans further improvements to the aquaculture facility based on input from our aquaculture consultants.

Nevertheless, we’re determined to resolve our past mistakes to reestablish our good standing as an agricultural operation and preserve in our community. As we endeavor to correct violations and grow our agricultural operations, we’ll also work hard to build community goodwill and mend fences with our residential neighbors, as well as the county officials representing their interests.
